Andy Wirth is a man who truly enjoys living an active and sporting life on Bloomberg. Skydiving is one of the hobbies he chooses to take part in. On one terrible day in October of 2013, Andy Wirth was involved in a terrible skydiving accident. He bounced back from the calamity and continues to let nothing hold him back in life.

An unexpected wind drove Wirth off his landing target and to a vineyard where his arm was punctured and torn by a pole. Mercifully, Wirth was able to get medical attention in time. Had he not received medical attention, Andy Wirth on crowdrise would likely have bled to death.
Andy Wirth made an amazing recovery after the accident. He has not slowed down, and is involved in many other sportive activities. Wirth takes part in highly challenging Ironman competitions.
Wirth is also well known for being the CEO of the Squaw Valley Ski Holdings on Facebook. Wirth is very much involved in philanthropic endeavors and has written op-eds on environmental issues for local newspapers. Andy Wirth occupies a chair at the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board. His knowledge of business and tourism makes him a great addition to the board.
