Coriant Technologies recently unveiled Shaygan Kheradpir as its new chief executive officer and president. Mr. Kheradpir is a renowned industry leader. Following the appointment, he officially replaced Pat DiPietro, who will now serve as Coriant’s Vice President. DiPetro will also serve as the Operating Officer of Coriant’s parent company, Marlin Equity Partners. Coriant came into being after the amalgamation of smaller telecommunication firms.
Being at the helm of Coriant is a hard task considering the fact that there is high competition from upcoming companies. Mr. Kheradpir is however, up to the task given his past success in the telecommunications industry. Things are likely to be easier for him given the fact that he was involved in Coriant’s operations one year prior to his appointment. The operations of the firm are therefore, well known to him. Being a proven leader that he is, many expect him to execute his new role in a judicial manner.
Mr. Kheradpir’s first task at the helm will be fitting into the big shoes left behind by his predecessor. Expectations are high considering the success that he has had elsewhere. His appointment has however raised optimism amongst Coriant stakeholders, who see him as the best person to take the company forward. DiPietro himself is confident that his successor will build on the culture of success, which has been long-established at Coriant. Shaygan has already taken his new role in earnest. Just a few months into his appointment, he has drawn a strategic plan, which promises to take the firm to a whole new level.
Mr. Kheradpir’s Impressive Resume
Shaygan is a proven technology expert. The Cornell University engineering graduate has had a remarkable career straddling more than 25 years. His career has seen him work for large corporations, which include Barclays, GTE Corporation, and Verizon Wireless. He began at GTE, where his knack for innovation was discovered. This saw him rise to become a senior manager within a short time.
Kheradpir was Verizon’s head of information. While playing this role, he oversaw the streamlining and modernization of the firm’s business strategies. Barclays appointed him head of technology and its chief operations officer. His stint at the multinational coincided with massive success. His appointment was strategic because he helped modernize Barclays’s setup. Before being appointed Coriant’s CEO, Shaygan worked at Marlin Equity Partners, which is affiliated to Coriant. Mr. Kheradpir is allied to the Young Men Christian Association, the National Institute of Science and Technology, and Cornell University.
