Stephen Murray – CCMP Capital

Stephen Murray was a long-time private equity investment executive that sadly passed away at the age of 52. He left CCMP Capital about a month prior to his passing due to health related issues. He had been with CCMP Capital and predecessor firms since 1989 and portrayed many years of experience as an executive investor.

CCMP Capital is a branch off of Chase Capital Partners and follows a long line of investment and banking firms. CCMP became an independent investment firm in 2006 and Stephen Murray became the CEO in 2007. CCMP Capital is primarily a private equity firm that focuses on buyout and growth equity transactions.

Stephen Murray attended Boston College in 1984 and graduated with his degree in economics. He started working for the credit analyst training program at Manufacturers Hanover Corporation. He then went on to get his Master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School in 1989. He then joined MH Equity Corporation at the time and ventured through many high end banking industries that were connected to each other.

Stephen Murray was also an active philanthropist and supported many different foundations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.

The healthcare industry part of Stephen Murray CCMP Capital offers $1.6 billion in different healthcare companies and 27 plus years of experience. They include by are not limited to providers of healthcare services, different types of products and their companies, different product distributors and managed care.
